Monitor Azure SQL Managed Instance with SQLBench

We are proud to announce support for monitoring Azure SQL Managed Instance in our latest SQLBench Agent, version 2023.10.30.03.

SQLBench gathers the same telemetry from Azure SQL Managed Instance instances as from SQL Server instance types, including:

  • Expensive queries
  • CPU, DTU and other compute resource counters
  • SQL Server Perfmon counters
  • SQL Server Wait Statistics
  • SQL Server Memory Clerks
  • SQL Server Database Virtual File Statistics
  • Exceptions
  • SQL Agent Job execution statistics
  • Server configurations
  • Database properties, Objects, Files & Filegroups

Version 2023.10.30.03 required.

To monitor Azure SQL Managed Instance, an upgrade to our latest SQLBench Agent version 2023.10.30.03 (or higher) is required.

This version includes the features necessary to monitor Azure SQL Managed Instance.

Download the latest version of the SQLBench Agent by logging in to our portal, choosing account settings, then Agent > Download.

 

Familiar, easy setup

  • Select "Azure SQL Managed Instance"
  • Enter the SQL Managed Instance Endpoint (from your Azure portal)
  • Choose a SQL / Windows Login
  • Click "Test" (to test accessibility & permissions)
  • Click "Save"
